Almost a Full Moon

Hawksley Workman

Illustrations by Jensie Eckwall

Penguin Publication

This a poem that begins with grandma and her grandson, making a soup. Just like different ingredients blended together make a complete soup, different members coming together make a family.
It's winter and the soup's inviting everyone for dinner. Grandma has made enough for everyone. A poem that highlights the importance of family, love, sharing and care. Also equality and love for all.
The illustrations are simple yet stand out, just complimenting the poem.
